چکیده

AIM The aim of the study was to examine cross-sectional association between serum albumin and hyperuricemia (HU). MATERIALS AND METHODS HU defined as uric acid ? 420 umol/L for male population ? 357 umol/Lfor female population. We reviewed files 216 consecutive patients with idiopathic membranous nephropathy treated at our hospital 2010 2019. correlation levels clinical Idiopathic were assessed by statistical analysis. A multivariable logistic analysis model applied test after adjusting a number potential confounding factors. RESULTS Triglyceride higher in group than without (p = 0.020, p < 0.001, respectively). As rose 1 g/L, probability increased 17% (adjusted II OR 1.17, 95% CI (1.02, 1.35), 0.0294). unit increase associated an 6.64 g/L ? 6.64, 0.0135). Using tertile (T1) reference, 3 (T3) positively both 44.21, (12.76, 75.67), 0.0064) 98.64, 0.0116). interaction showed significant interactions body mass index (BMI) when or used determine outcomes. participants BMI ? 25 kg/m2 had those (for hyperuricemia: 1.01 vs. 1.18, 0.0056; acid: 0.96 6.23, p for 0.0154). area under ROC curve (AUC) 0.7615 kg/m2. sensitivity specificity this point 47.37% 95.83%, respectively. CONCLUSION Our that acid, especially obese subjects.

Transplant Outcomes in Patients with Idiopathic Membranous Nephropathy

Background. The natural history of idiopathic membranous nephropathy and recurrent disease in transplants is variable. We performed a retrospective cohort study of renal transplant recipients with a primary diagnosis of idiopathic membranous nephropathy. We aimed to establish patterns of disease recurrence and to identify factors associated with disease recurrence. Methods. We accessed the Iris...

Treatment with rituximab in idiopathic membranous nephropathy

BACKGROUND Rituximab represents a valid therapeutic option to induce remission in patients with primary glomerulonephritis. Despite several studies proving its efficacy in improving outcomes in patients with membranous nephropathy (MN), its role in therapeutic protocols is not yet defined. METHODS We studied 38 patients with idiopathic MN treated with rituximab (in 13 patients as first-line t...

Chapter 7: Idiopathic membranous nephropathy

BACKGROUND The diagnosis of MN is made on kidney biopsy. Diagnostic features include capillary wall thickening, normal cellularity, IgG and C3 along capillary walls on immunofluorescence, and subepithelial deposits on electron microscopy. MN is often seen in association with an underlying disorder (secondary MN). Secondary MN is more common in children (75%) than adults (25%) (Table 12). The di...

Effective treatment of four consecutive idiopathic membranous nephropathy patients.

lies in the way information on ACEI/ARB treatment was obtained. In the study of Opelz et al., a questionnaire was sent out, with a return rate of 107 out of 299 participating centres. Their publication does not provide information on how completely the data was collected within those 107 centres. By contrast, we used data bases from the general public Austrian Sickness Funds and direct entry fr...
